Drawing with ink and a branch from Hazel. Drawing in the wind with repetitive movements. These drawings reflect an
intimate response to the immediate landscape by ‘mapping’ the overlooked movement of varied grasses and trees in the wind.
The grasses, especially, – when dipped into ink create the drawings themselves through idiosyncratic, repetitive movements.

If I tried that by our lake, I would certainly have enough wind :-) You are giving me an idea for something, but I think it's too late in the year here.

It is the first time that I heard about this Japanese concept. I tried Chinese calligraphy a few years ago and it was essential for my education about brush gesture.
